The conclusion to the 1986 Formula One season was an all-time classic. Heading into the weekend, Nigel Mansell was leading the championship over team-mate Nelson Piquet and defending champion Alain Prost. But while it was Mansell’s championship to lose, this race proved that anything can happen in Formula 1.
