It is understood that the Speedworks Grand Finale event at Hampton Downs is set to be postponed due to restrictions on public gatherings enforced by the government.
According to an internal email sent by BNT V8s, the March Hampton Downs event will exceed the 500-person limit – with team personnel, marshalls, officials, etc. – set by the New Zealand Government.
It is also understood that should an alternative date not be found, or if the situation surrounding the pandemic does not improve in the coming months, the championship will be declared under Force Majeure.
The New Car Product Launch set for March 26 in the Pavilion at the track will go ahead as scheduled.
