Team Porsche New Zealand (TPNZ) has now confirmed their 2025 plans, with the continuation of their partnership with Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) to stretch across three Porsche single-make series again this year, competing in both Australia and Asia.
The team’s 2025 driver lineup features three young and ambitious drivers, eager to make their mark. Marco Giltrap, fresh from his 2023 Porsche Australia Sprint Challenge championship victory, returns for a second season in the fiercely competitive Porsche Carrera Cup Australia. His debut in 2024 provided invaluable experience with the 992 and Australian tracks, and his enthusiasm is palpable. “I’m super excited to be teaming up with Team Porsche New Zealand again,” he enthuses, “We have so much more knowledge and experience this time around, I feel we can push for some really good results!” His ambition echoes the spirit of the entire team.
Across the Pacific Ocean, in the exhilarating world of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, another young Kiwi, Brock Gilchrist, takes center stage.
Following a stellar performance in the 2024 Sprint Challenge Australia, securing second place overall, Brock is stepping up to a full season in the premier Asian series. His impressive showing at the Shanghai round last year, where he achieved a remarkable second-place overall finish, only fueled his determination.

“Competing in the final round last year really opened my eyes,” Brock explains, “When I was offered the seat to race with TPNZ and EBM in Asia, I knew it was exactly where I wanted to be. To top it off, having the chance to race as a support category for the Chinese and Singapore Grand Prix makes this an even more amazing opportunity.”
Completing this formidable trio is 17-year-old Tom Bewley, the newest member of the TPNZ scholarship program. This rising star, hot off his 2024 New Zealand Toyota 86 Championship win, brings a fresh energy and undeniable talent. He’s already gained valuable experience with the 991 GT3 Cup car in the New Zealand GT NZ Championship, preparing him for his debut in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia 2025. His career trajectory mirrors the ambition and dedication that defines the team.
The 2025 calendar kicks off this weekend with Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, with Marco Giltrap competing under the lights in the opening round at Sydney Motorsport Park, followed then by the highly anticipated Melbourne Grand Prix in March.
The first round of Carrera Cup Asia kicks off at the Chinese Grand Prix, 21-23 March, and the Sprint Challenge Australia starts its 2025 season at Phillip Island, 4-6 April.
